Whoops: 18 Minutes Of Fireworks Explode In 15 Seconds [Video]

On Wednesday, thousands gathered for San Diego’s annual Big Bay Boom July 4th fireworks display – but instead of watching 18 minutes of glorious aerial explosions, they got a 15 second clusterf*ck. According to Garden State Fireworks, who was contracted with setting up the show, a fatal “glitch” caused the problem, pissing off throngs of people in the process:

We will be working throughout the night to determine what technical problem caused the entire show to be launched in about 15 seconds. We apologize for the brevity of the show and the technical difficulties,” the company said in a statement posted on www.bigbayboom.com.

Hit the jump to check out the premature pyrotechnic fail.
