Video: Three Chicago Buildings Are Struck By Lightning Simultaneously

Craig Shimala used his Canon EOS 7D camera to capture footage of lightning hitting the Willis Tower, Trump International Hotel and Tower, and the John Hancock Building, three of the tallest buildings in Chicago, at the same time. The footage was taken during a series of storms which “towered up to 63,000 ft, unleashed 80 mph gusts, local 3″+ rains and 15,000 cloud to ground lightning strikes in a single hour.” Check out the video after the break.

Craig also filmed this sequel, including the formation of a giant rainbow over the city.
