In a move that will no doubt scare the piss out of arachnophobes, German designer Friedrich van Schoor used projection mapping to make one story of a building appear as if it was occupied with giant spiders. If you can stomach the sight, you can watch a video of the display in action after the jump. There you will also find photos of trompe l’oeil paintings of harvestmen (or “daddy longlegs”) atop the Seattle Center Armory (just beneath the Space Needle) created by Science artist Marlin Peterson.
