In case you haven’t heard, The ‘Dude’ in The Big Lebowski is real. Well, sort of. Filmmaker Jeff Feuerzeig was able to encounter the man who inspired the character in 1998′s comedy which starred John Goodman and Jeff Bridges as the ‘Dude’ himself.
Feuerzeig then proceeded to create a documentary about Dowd that was aptly called The Dude, which “follows Jeff Dowd to a Lebowski Fest offering a glimpse into this fascinating subculture and colorful real-life character behind the iconic mythical Dude and the secret to how he always abides…”
