A former Kmart employee named Mark Davis had the foresight to hang onto a collection of audio cassettes containing a vast collection of music that played in Kmart stores from 1989-1991, complete with antiquated announcements.
It’s depressingly hilarious.
Recently Mark decided to upload the collection to the Internet Archive, where it is currently available for
torture a mental vacation back to the 20th century, when you were shopping for a bedazzled jean jacket, Jordache jeans or something called a “VCR”.
