Syncing lights with music isn’t just for Christmas anymore. One dude in Riverside, CA has applied the fad to his Halloween display with some awesome results. Check it out after the break.
This Christmas display in Delaware consists of 1,000,000 lights, and has been estimated to cost $686/hour, or $82,320 a month to operate. HouseLogic determined the price by assuming that each of their 1,000,000 lights were average 5 watt C7 bulbs. Then they did the math for a 4 hour run each night for 30 nights, using the average price per kWh in the region.
They also worked up an estimate for LED lights, which reduced their energy costs to $89/hour, or $10,680 a month.

Employees at a UK mobile phone company were recently informed about the status of their jobs after they were called into mass meetings and shown colored lights. “red meant redundant, yellow meant you had to re-apply for your job, and blue meant you’re safe.”
All 16,000 employees of Everything Everywhere, the mobile phone company created by the merger of Orange and T-Mobile, were told last month whether or not their jobs were safe at mass meetings across the country.Up to 1,200 middle managers and back office staff who could lose their jobs by the end of the Christmas holidays were shown a red light and told they were “at risk”. Other staff saw the light go yellow, which meant they must re-apply for their existing job.
Way to build a positive relationship with your employees.
