Aatma Studio recently created a virtual office environment with 10,000 computer generated iPhone 5s standing on end which are toppled like dominoes. During their gravity experiment, the phones reveal patters, ride an elevator, and display a large video.
“Except for the first iPhone that is set off, every other phone you see is computer generated,” said Pramod Modi Shantharam, CEO and animation director at Aatma Studio. “We modeled, animated and rendered the CG phone where the footage was first motion-tracked and the CG phone was composited over it.”

Next time you go to a coffee shop or restaurant, watch how many people are playing with their smart phones or tablets instead of interacting with the people and the world around them. It’s kind of depressing really – our dependence on these mobile gadgets. It just seems wrong. However, there people out there misusing these devices in ways you never thought possible.
