I am thinking how much better we were off in 1945,46,47 in the russian occupied zone in Germany. We had candles, wood stoves, wells with a hand pump and a bucket on a rope so we could get some water to prime the pump. The Local farmers had some food, LOCALLY, which one could get for valuables ,like jewelery, valuable art pieces, persian rugs and also for reichsmark, provided you had 5 Reichsmark coins (containing about one third ounze silver). I wiped myself with Reichsmark bills (not as good for that purpose as newspapers or old catalogs)

How much better we are off these days is astonishing. That $400,000.00 SUV seems to be much nicer than the old Car we had BUT BUT BUT that old clunker had behind the trunk a “HOLZVERGASER” which converted woood with some water in to “smoke ” that the carburator could use to turn the motor and actualy make the car move down the road.

I laughed til I cried. Thanks for the extreme tension reliever and best moment of today outside of prayer. We must find ways to keep our sense of humor in a rather totally nonsensical world. Keep it coming. I also love the guy who writes a blurb every month that comes with my electric bill. He produces a side=splitting laugh with tears and sore abs just like you did.
