After spotting a spider in his laundry room, a Seattle man decided the best option for removing the pest was to nuke it with a lighter and a can of spray paint. Unfortunately, the wall of the rented home caught fire and all efforts to extinguish the rapidly spreading blaze proved futile, resulting in $40,000 worth of damage to the structure and another $20,000 in damaged or destroyed content.
So, did the spider survive? Firefighters stated that it isn’t too likely. We’re betting that it did and is currently biding it’s time before returning to finish this guy off.
At any rate, this is why “killing it with fire” isn’t always the best option. Maybe it’s time you considered the shoe?
