If you have strong beliefs about how the nation can fix its budget problems, the New York Times has set up an interactive page that will allow you to make your own plan and share it online.
The “Budget Puzzle” will give you options such as cutting foreign aid in half to cutting out 250,000 government jobs to reducing the fleet size of the Air Force and Navy, all in an attempt to eliminate the projected budget shortfalls in the next five and 20 years. The downside is that even if you’re successful, few if any will care to listen.
