It’s fitting that a day after posting this comic we would feature Scott Stevenson’s video of a laser popping 100 balloons which have been lined up in a row like dominoes.

Hit the jump to check it out. The last one puts up a pretty good fight.

In the video after the break, Russian cats get pampered in an extremely ghetto way with the human-powered cat elevator.

That kid should have been taught not to wait so long before running. If this was Jurassic Park he would have been an appetizer.

My guess is that the cat is singing the blues because there’s some dick in the room playing guiar while he tries to take a nap.

In the following video, a man is hard at work training his dog to become a balloon. I think this pooch has what it takes.

The video after the break has sent conspiracy theorists and UFO enthusiasts (but apparently no reputable news organizations) into an absolute tizzy. The truth mill known as the internet reports that two identical, pale, hairless men in black suits showed up to question a Canadian hotel worker after a UFO sighting, but instead spoke with his co-workers upon hearing that he wasn’t available. The men, who were described as mind readers with huge, unblinking blue eyes and wigs, were captured on security footage which you will watch over, and over and over again while the worker describes the ordeal.

On a totally unrelated note, Men In Black III is heading to theaters on May 25, and the time is ripe for some viral marketing campaigns.

At an MMA event held in Kankakee, Illinois this past weekend, a 53-year old spectator known only as “Tim” agreed to replace a no-show and face off against a 21-year old fighter. He only had an hour to prepare for the fight—but it seems that was more than enough.

During a meeting in 1984, Apple sought to mobilize an international sales force to sell a sh*t ton of Macs and dominate IBM by inappropriately comparing the rivalry to 1944, the year allied forces gained the upper hand in the European theater of World War II. To illustrate their point, the company produced a terrible 9 minute film that followed up on their legendary 1984 TV spot, and featured Steve Jobs in the role of FDR, declaring:

“General, you and your brave fighting force have a rendezvous with destiny. Your battle will be long. It will be hard, but it will be won. I’m sure your victory will be great. Insanely great.”

The film was obtained by Network World from Craig Elliott, a former Apple employee who is now CEO of Pertino Networks, a cloud-computing startup. Hit the jump to check out the complete film and a short clip of Jobs’ cameo.

Without the electronic wizardry of email, sending a message can be pretty damn boring – unless of course you happen to have a Rube Goldberg machine to do the work for you. Design studio HEY HEY HEY created just such a contraption, which stamps a message and postage on this old timey thing called a “postcard” using impressive and entertaining engineering solutions. Plus, the whole thing fits inside a couple of suitcases.

Over a three month period, University of California at Berkeley freshman Derek Low carried out a mission to create what he called “the most ridiculously automated dorm room in the school ever.” The result is “BRAD” (Berkeley Ridiculously Automated Dorm), which employs motion sensors to detect when someone enters or exits the room, as well as the ability to control the lights, window shades, and music via voice controls and mobile apps. An emergency red “party mode” button was also provided, which closes the shades, turns on dance music and replaces the overhead lights with flashing neon lighting and strobes.

Check out the video after the break. His music choice for getting up is especially effective… and cruel.
