This “Bandit” ruler by Sebastian Bergne is cleverly designed as both a ruler and a weapon that will fire rubber bands – giving you the upper hand in cubicle battles, while simultaneously helping you waste time and office supplies.

There’s no doubt that most people would prefer sitting on their asses all day playing Minecraft rather than working, but when that’s out of the question, you can still do the next best thing and get office supplies with a Minecraft theme. For example, this 600 page, 3†x 3†x 3†pad of sticky notes will reveal textured cracks as you peel away each note, but without an inventory or any of that pesky cobblestone residue. It’s also an officially licensed Minecraft product – if that means anything to those of us who aren’t profiting from it.

A manager and a former employee of a Kent, WA, Office Depot have been charged with stealing more than $2.1 million in ink and toner supplies from the location since 2007, which they allegedly sold on eBay. The store installed cameras, which caught the manager carrying ink cartridges out to a former employee who was waiting in the parking lot.
The former O.D. staffer was arrested with $6,750 of stolen store goods in his vehicle. He told police that the pair had earned at least $500K by reselling the pilfered products on eBay.
Police indicate that the actual amount was likely much higher, as that man’s PayPal account had received more than $1 million since the thefts began. The pair is believed to have sold stolen laptops, cameras and other electronics as well.

In addition to being an office staple, scotch tape is also a boredom-battling artistic medium and a miracle substance that will allow you to peer through frosted glass. You can use it to create “casts” of objects, or awesome freeform sculptures such as those shown above, which were entered in Scotch’s “Off the Roll” tape sculpture competition held earlier this year.

There are many methods of wiping data off a CD, but if you want to insure that it is gone—and I mean REALLY insure it—hit it up with 150,000 volts.
“One enterprising individual has created the most secure way to wipe out Compact Discs, by using a step-up transformer and creating a 150,000 Volt pd, whilst a CD rotates in the middle. The sparks arc through the metal in the CD and evaporates it, ripping it all off as the CD rotates. The CD is rendered transparent and unreadable. This may be the most secure method to remove data on conventional recordable CDs used in offices.”
Check out the video after the break. And don’t try putting your CD in a microwave—even if it does create a spectacular light show.
